SNBC National Night Out BBQ - The community BBQ was a success!  Check out the pictures of neighbors chowing down, the fabulous Inspector Moore painting faces, fantastic volunteers helping out, and Taraval police officers helping serve food.  Thanks to Captain Chignell and all the Taraval officers, our incredible volunteers, and everyone who came out to make it such a fun time!

CAHSEE Tutoring - Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center's program to help students that are struggling to pass the California High School Exit Exam is going strong!  Students are successfully using the online tool to sharpen their knowledge of the material covered on the CAHSEE.  Safety Network has lead the efforts to develop and implement this new program. 
We are still looking for students - if you know someone who is struggling to pass the CAHSEE and would like help in passing the exam, please contact me, darrow@snbc.org.

14th Annual Sunset Community Festival - Planning for the Sunset Festival on September 27 is in full swing.  This year, I am spotlight chair making sure that we honor this year's theme - Greening the Sunset - in all its glory.  If you have any ideas or want to get involved, please let me know at darrow@snbc.org.   Our next meeting is Thursday, August 14, 7-9pm - please come and join the planning efforts.  If you'd like to volunteer, please contact Ron Dudum at ron@electdudum.com.
